While supplies last!
2020 marks 100 years since the
ratification of the 19th Amendment, ensuring the
right to vote for many women. Both Washington and
Idaho, along with the western states of Wyoming,
Utah, Colorado, and Washington, led the country in
the effort of women’s suffrage. Idaho was the 4th
state in the nation where women won the right to
vote and Washington was the 5th. This special patch program introduces Girl Scouts to the suffrage movement and the importance of women's right to vote.
This is an earned patch program, available for all ages. Click here for the requirements. Girls who earn this special patch will explore the history of the suffrage movement, the process of voting, and complete a Take Action component.
Celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the 19th Amendment on August 18th.
