Send your camper a Camp Four Echoes Care Package!
This is a retired Girl Scout award. Retired awards are still able to be earned, but are not officially part of the current Girl Scout program. Limited quantities available.
The Sign of the Rainbow was part of the Junior program from 1980 to the early 2000s. There were four possible signs to earn as part of the Worlds to Explore program.
To earn the Sign of the Rainbow, Girl Scout Juniors needed to complete all of the following:
- Earn a Health and Fitness badge. Draw the badge you earned and color the red section of your rainbow.
- Earn a Science or Technology badge. Draw the badge you earned and color the orange section of your rainbow.
- Earn an Outdoor badge. Draw the badge you earned and color the yellow section of your rainbow.
- Earn the Junior Aids award. Write a reflection on your favorite activity from it. Color the green section of your rainbow.
- Earn a badge or award about Girl Scouting in the USA and one about Girl Scouting or Guiding internationally. (If you are earning this now, we recommend Girl Scout Way and World Thinking Day). Draw the awards you earned and color the blue section of your rainbow.
- Earn an Art badge. Draw the badge you earned and color the purple section of your rainbow.
- Organize a display, slide show, video, or other activity that introduces other Girl Scouts to the five worlds of Girl Scouting. Write a short reflection on your project.
